The IB/E Optics Raptor 180mm Macro T2.9 PL/EF Lens feature full frame (24×36) coverage, with a max image diameter of ø 50mm. Additionally, the Raptor lenses feature 1:1 magnification without a change in length, due to internal focusing.
Other features include extended color correction (APO) and a T-Stop of T2.9 within all focal lengths. This low T-Stop provides for beautiful bokeh. Finally, these lenses maintain a consistent distance from flange to iris and focus ring and a front diameter of 95mm.
The RAPTOR lenses have robust and durable professional cine mechanics.
The movement toward larger format sensors is still in progress. Early examples include RED Weapon 6K and 8K, Sony A7 and Venice as well as ARRI’s Alexa large format cameras. Larger sensors deliver a film-look and interesting bokeh due to their very shallow depth of field and require lenses that can cover the complete area.
