Arri and Zeiss teamed up to bring you these truly masterful anamorphic lenses. This line of lenses contains 7 different focal lengths: 28mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 100mm, and 135mm. These lenses raise the bar for anamorphic format optics, as they have greatly improved the usability/convenience and technology. The Master Anamorphics are compact, lightweight, and easy to use. They are also extremely fast at T1.9, usable with any focal length at any distance. In addition, these lenses product beautiful images.
The line has extremely low distortion in comparison to other anamorphic lenses. They also feature a nice bokeh and high contrast. In true Zeiss fashion, these lenses also boast beautiful skin tones and extremely accurate color rendition.
The Arri 40mm T1.9 Master Anamorphic PL Lens yields a 2.39:1 aspect ratio when used with a Super 35 sensor. Additionally, the 40mm lens features a 28″ minimum focus distance. The lens is 7.2 inches long and weighs 6 pounds. Finally, the PL LDS mount will transfer lens data so long as the camera is compatible.
